Can Dogs Get Frostbite?
Dogs just like humans can get frostbite if left out in the cold too long. If it is too cold for you it is too cold for your dog.Frostbite is commonly seen in the tail, ear tips, paw pads, and scrotum.
If you think your pet may be experiencing frostbite bring them to the vet right away. You may notice the skin under the fur is pale, or even bluish in color. As circulation returns to the areas the tissue will become red, and swollen. In the later stages of frostbite tissue will become black and will peel away from the body.
